About Me

I work for KUSI NEWS in San Diego.

  I write for the KUSI NEWS at 6, 10 and 11pm.

  At the age of 45, i decided to make a carrer change from bartending. I always had an interest in radio, so i enrolled at San Diego City College and took a media performance class taught by KUSI's Dave Scott. I also took radio programming and production.

  While i was in school, my friend John Soderman, a reporter at KUSI, suggested i do an internship at the station. I became an intern at KUSI in February of 2004, where i took it upon myself to shadow writers and producers and learn broadcast style writing. I was hired as a production assistant after my internship. I am now the senior writer and have been with KUSI for more than four years.

  I am also very interested in voice over work. I had the opportunity to voice over several promos for KUSI NEWS, and i was the voice of the PPR pig in the Prep Pigskin Report promos.
